What you need

• An iPhone with iOS 18 or later.
• iCloud signed in on that iPhone. The app keeps your family's pet in your own iCloud.
• Optional: an Apple Watch with watchOS 11 or later.

How do I invite my family?

Open the app and go to Household › Invite. The invite is sent in Messages. When someone accepts it, the same pet appears on their phone and they join the household. Only people who accept an invite can see or send anything.

The Apple Watch app

Open the Watch app on your iPhone and install Pocket Pet from the list of available apps. On the Watch, the pet fills the screen with Pet, Feed and Walk always in reach. Turn the Digital Crown to see the Care page: sips, together, a movement break, switch pet, and call.

Notifications and wrist taps

Reminders are optional and you turn them on in the app. On the Watch, movement and water reminders tap your wrist. To change the sound or the haptics for the Watch, open the Watch app on your iPhone and go to Notifications › Pocket Pet. For the iPhone, use Settings › Notifications › Pocket Pet.

How do I remove a member, or leave?

The household owner can remove a member in Household. To leave a household yourself, use Settings › Start over. If you are the owner, Start over empties the household on every phone in it; if you are a participant, it makes you leave and removes the household from your phone.

How do I report a problem?

Email hello@pocketpet.family with what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. The iPhone model, the iOS version and a screenshot help a lot.

How do I report a concern about something in a household?

If someone in a household sent a note or a photo that worries you, the owner can remove that member right away in Household, and anyone can leave with Settings › Start over. Then email hello@pocketpet.family and tell us what happened.
